Player Settings

Player Settings define how the Panda Video player looks and behaves across all videos in your organization. From here you can control which playback controls appear, customize the visual identity (colors, captions, branding), enable or disable features like save progress and the settings menu, and configure tracking pixels for analytics integrations.

What you can configure

  • Visible controls — choose which buttons appear in the player (play, rewind, captions, fullscreen, airplay, cast, and more)
  • Colors and branding — primary color, controls color, captions color and background, Panda Video branding visibility
  • Captions — font size, color, background color, and default subtitle language
  • Playback behavior — save progress between sessions, time display mode (current/total or remaining)
  • Settings menu — toggle which options appear inside the player's settings (speed, quality, dubbing, captions language)
  • Tracking — Facebook Pixel IDs and Google Tag IDs fired from the player

How it works

  • Settings apply at the organization level — they become the default for every video in the account.
  • Changes take effect immediately after the configuration is updated.
  • All endpoints require a valid Panda API token in the Authorization header (without the Bearer prefix).

What's next

  • Get Config Player — retrieve the current player configuration for the organization
  • Update Config Player — update the default player configuration
